LENG TCH'E To Film '1-800-APATHY' Video This Weekend
January 23, 2007Belgian razorgrind warriors LENG TCH'E will head down to Paris, France this weekend to shoot the first video off their upcoming album, "Marasmus". The clip is for the track "1-800-APATHY" and will be shot by oneOone.
Due March 9 via Relapse Records, "Marasmus" was recorded in September 2006 at CCR studios in Belgium and was mixed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström. Mastering was done by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New York. Check out the cover artwork at this location. The seemingly simple artwork is actually a complex collection of transparent layers blending together in one image. Two songs from the upcoming CD — "Lucid Denial" and "Tightrope Propaganda" — are available for listening on the band's MySpace page.
A "heavier and more measured bludgeoning than previous records," "Marasmus" sees the band incorporating more pronounced death metal riffage to their pummeling grind assault, according to a posting on the Relapse web site. "Marasmus" finds LENG TCH'E "maximizing their already lethal damage per square riff ratio with a more deliberate sense of pace. An absolute blinder of a full-length, 'Marasmus' puts LENG TCH'E squarely at the forefront of the modern extreme scene."
